Now I wish I lived in Sweden 😍. Or even Denmark. Oh well, I guess I can still adopt this here in Germany. In fact, last year on Christmas Eve, I suddenly felt like watching the ancient Donald cartoons again, a childhood memory, so I collected some watched them with my parents, it was a huge success and we laughed tears. Since then Donald has become a "new" obsession for me. I have always loved this duck and have some great childhood memories about him.
I find the Swedish tradition of watching Donald Duck, aka Kalle Anka, around Christmas Eve fascinating, so I adapted it into my own Christmas traditions by watching the very first episode of Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color, which contains colors and Donald Duck in Mathmagic Land.
no christmas without kalle anka aka Donald duck
Me coming from Sweden
Donald Duck is a must in Norden. We love Donald Duck
Ah, now I understand why King Diamond put the lyrics "Donald Duck is still in bed" in his song "No Presents for Christmas." m/
It's not just Donald Duck. It's a compilation of many different Disney clips. It's always the same except for the last one which changes every year.
Same in Denmark, Norway, Finland….
Kalle Anka
I remember that during my master's in London a Swedish friend would talk about this… Until now I thought she was just kidding around!
