I have never heard about this tradition, and I am Ukrainian 😄
When I was a kid we used to decorate our Christmas tree with tangerines and candies sometimes though
It's even too cold for spiders to be active in winter in 🇺🇦 What is your source of information?
I have a question. Is the city from 7 to 9 seconds Kranj, Slovenia?

PHILIPPINES CHRISTMAS STARTS SEPT. 01 AND THE BEST IN THE WORLD. ITS NEXT LEVEL EXPERIENCE..
This is all fake, Venezuela Ukrania and Russia are nothing like that.. very poorly research
As a Russian, I must say – what is said in this video about Russia is absolute nonsense. untrue. please check the info before publishing. ask natives from the countries you speak about.
The russian story has nothing to do with the bible and a quick online search results in pages telling you that this babushka story is not known amongst russians…
What about Caribbean?
canada for me

What????? Spiders????? In Ukraine????? Seriously? Dear, Crunch where have you found that information? It's ridiculous! Folks in Ukraine never ever decorate their Christmas trees with cobwebs or spiders! Before posting facts, PLEASE check them carefully!
I doubt a 1960s invention to attract tourists to a random town in the middle of nowhere counts as a "tradition".
How about Nativity? In Italy, Spain and probably some other catholic countries, a miniature representation of the birth of Jesus is put up in every home and every church approximately from December 8th to January 6th, or even later.
The average household Nativity features a paper and moss landscape, paper starry sky, a hut or cave where Baby Jesus is said to have been born, and some 10 to 30 hand size statuettes of Baby Jesus in the manger, Mary, Joseph, adoring shepherds, angels, workers, musicians, cattle and so on. Some miniature houses, bridge, trees, stones and other landscape elements can be added, and the entire thing is usually decorated with lights. In churches, statues are usually bigger and more beautiful.
The tradition is said to have been created by Saint Francis of Assisi (1200s), but many historians state that it was derived from a much older pre-Christian tradition of ancient Rome.
Some towns host "living" Nativity on Christmas night: people playing the characters, dressing and acting accordingly, often with real animals, parade in the streets or stage the scene in a church or a square. My husband's father used to play Saint Joseph, and every year he would start growing his beard months in advance in order to get a more believable look.
Yule lasting thirteen days isn't Iceland's idea of Christmas, it's just how you celebrate Yule. Yule is the Germanic original that existed before the Christians came, copied it and called it "Christmas". So it's the other way around: it's the Christians' idea to celebrate Yule in three days instead of thirteen… for whatever reason.
i want to be a person in venezuela
We are from Ukraine , and we haven’t got this tradition, you are liyers!😡🇺🇦
Canada
WE NEVER USE SPIDER NETS FOR CHRISTMAS TREE HERE IN UKRAINE! It’s bull$hit! PS. Christmas 🎄 is NOT Halloween, you idiots! 👎👎👎

In Scotland at Xmas it’s tradition to go out n kick the shit out a junkie , coz as the legend goes the junkie is out to rob Santa
Anyone else have to watch the video in English class
Wow many countries has different traditions on christmas, if i go to Canada i would to feel the christmas there.😊
Two Christmas traditions of my family I absolutely love: no gifts for grown-ups, instead we choose a charity organization together and donate. On 25th evening we play good old tombola (an traditional Christmas family game here in Italy) but the "prizes" are all declaratedly crappy items we want to get rid of, packed as gifts.

When talking about other countries and cultures using terms like weird and strange is rude and self-centered. Where you are from some could describe your traditions as weird and strange…
We dont celebrate "christmas" is swe. We celebrate Jul "Yule" who is much older than the christian times.

Um, seriously? A show most likely to be watched by children and you use the word “Hell” within the first 30 seconds. Tacky and inappropriate.
I don’t know a single person who hides their broom on Christmas Eve in Norway. Where do you get these ‘facts’ from?
en colombia selebramos la navidad desde el 7 de diciembre el dia de velitas
Iceland: We celebrate Christmas for 13days
Philippines: Hold my Noche buena
no this is not popular in ukraine
Misleading information about Ukraine and Russia as well – there is no grandma giving gifts and there never has been. I request everyone to report this video and stop spreading disinformation and making children to write homework based on this .
Ukraine – Christmas trees in spider webs?!? Are you kidding me??? I am Ukrainian and this is the most wrong and misleading information I have ever heard and seen . Where have you gotten this fake info? Not a single person in Ukraine would get this crazy idea of adorning Christmas trees in spiders. This is a holy day for us when Jesus Christ was born, with beautiful carols. Whereas angels and balls and toys are adorning our Christmas trees . And many many lights. Get your facts straight otherwise I’ll be sending a complaint to YouTube about disinformation that you are spreading.
I did this for re XD
