For the first year I’m not with my family for Christmas, so here’s what I did to get in the right spirit.

Well it looks like you are a crafty person like your aunt as your natural woodland decorations looked lovely! I started making a wreath a few years ago with ivy and holly from my garden and a few other evergreens that I have. Thankfully in the UK you don't have to pay to access woodland or the wider countryside or parks, and it's shocking that happens in the US.
Ma allora Γ¨ vero che ci sono le scale anti incendio sui balconi delle case usa..
Loved the decorations MJ. That wreath was beautiful. You've inspired me to make one for Spring! I'm wondering if you enjoyed the HP movies?
Thank you for this. Really nice.
Well i'd say in term of "chrismas spirit"/ feeling that "void" you made a pretty good job:
-Spending quality time with and reaching to loved ones β
-Making home cosier β
-Waking up the child within you (that read harry potter books..)β
-Sharing good vibesβ
All wrapped with a lovely chrismas musicβ¦
Bonus:
-Walking in the fresh snow β
(i miss it so much, it's been a while since i heard the distinctive sound of a walk in the snow and seen the city grey disappear under the immaculate white of the snow but it's getting colder these days so hopefully i'll be able to enjoy it soon as well)
The music in your video reminds me of a Charlie Brown Christmas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7dqZ6Jy-GE
Nice work MJ, I'd be happy with how that turned out too, as it's just enough to create the right atmosphere, without getting too busy, and over the top! (there really is an art to doing it right I think, and you can either do it simply as you have done, or extravagantly in an impressive, but tasteful way).
I see many many examples of people that don't get it right, and to me, it just makes the place look sterile, and soulless, even though they may have spent some considerable time and money on it.
Niko looked so cute among all the decorations and lights, he's a very photogenic cat!.
I was shocked that you had to pay for your visit to the park, how did you go about arranging payment for this visit?.
In my country, I can only think of one or two instances, where payment was required to enter private land.
I have only personally had to do this once myself, but the trip was so good, that I honestly wouldn't mind doing it again! (a unique part of the country… so rural, isolated, and beautiful!).
Anyway, enjoyed the video, and the atmosphere you created… thumbs up for your efforts!.
Well done , very pretty π, Merry Christmas πand Happy New Year π
That wreath is not bad at all. Very crafty π Happy New Year

I never thought about making a home-made wreath before, that was fun to watch. It's nice that you sought and found a unique way to remember this Christmas season, mixing in a little adventure (to obtain the materials) and then creating the wreath from scratch. I hope you guys had a nice Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Bon nsdal
And you told me you weren't a "craft" person ( I didn't believe you and you just proved I was right) ππ²ππ²ππ²π
Merry Christmasπ²π²π²π²π². I love how you decorated your apartment. So sweet.
Happy merry Christmas Mary Jane and Ali!! Thank you for sharing your joy with us. Your spirit is contagious.
I am praying you will be with your families soon. Wishing you much happiness, peace and blessings in the new year.
PS – I love how you decorated. It is so typical the cat is right in the middle of it all. <3
The decorations look amazing! I love the cat too! Super cute. Happy holidays. Happy 2021.
Hopefully next year this pandemic will be nearly over and perhaps we can all join our families again βΊοΈ
Really nice deco, very cost. Does Ali like the deco too ? I ask because part of my family is also turkish and I really donβt know a turk who has a sense for cozy lighting. They love bright white light and have no sense of candlelight or dim lighting, especially during dinner.π
