Great video! I have been looking for a way to replace my plastic Christmas tree stand after my tree was knocked over by accident. I wanted to save the nice tree without spending more money at Christmas to replace the tree. Thanks so much!
This also works with just 3 or 4 planks, just put some screws through the tree at the bottom and through the planks and you dont need to do any of the rest stuff
I put this together for our tree this year (which had a super twisted trunk and needed an extra large/sturdy base), and it worked brilliantly! Thanks so much!
I've been looking at Youtube designs and yours is the best! I'm a 67 yr old woman- I'll get the store to cut the wood for me, and I can drill screws. What size are they? I really like your idea of numbering the holes, very clever. Thanks so much!
Perfect. A 30 minute project using old 2×4 boards left over from other projects. The hardest part was to find a good container for the water (my tree is larger than the one in this video). Holds better than the old plastic thing we had in the past (that we lost).
I looked at a few other designs before doing mine, but didn't see yours until after I posted mine. Mine is much more involved to build, but you only need to build it once and not every year. I only spent about $15 as everything was scrape except for the leveling legs. Mine also takes more storage room!

Just used this design with some leftover tongue-and-groove flooring. Very stable and quick to put together. Thanks for sharing!
I have done very similar with Stodoys designs.

Awesome Job! I need to make one for my artifical tree. One of the plastic legs broke off.
I'm going to try that this year. I hate having to use the stand I have now.
Could this tree stand support a 3 meter tall pine tree, or would it tip over in this stand?
Thanks for sharing my mom needed a stand so I built one off of this really appreciate it
HAHA!! Ugly as Hell!!! Ill make two, too really piss off the "bitch"!!
Thanks for the tip!!
Merry X-mas!!!
