Interesting that your tradition is to have Oyster Stew on Christmas Eve. In my family we had Oyster Stew on New Yearās Day.
Matt needs his own channel šššā¤ Tipper n Matt have the best banter ā¤
Continuing to catch up on videos. Enjoyed this very much ā¤ā¤
Fun video. Matt's a hoot. That's his natural charm shinin through. I bet it takes a lot to get him mad. I like the beginning of the video in fast motion, the upside-down ketchup bottle looks cool. š
Matt, you are so much like my husband š After 38 years, I'm used to it, but others always think he's mad . We have a good laugh about it as well š I know I'm late but a Very Merry Christmas to you and your family !!
4 generations we've been taught to make Portuguese stuffing on thxs giving n Christmas. Can't rember a xmas without it.
Matt is Silly! The cards are beautiful!
Talking about Matt smiling, something I observed is that whenever he talks about the girls or something they have done, he always gets a big smile. That just shows what a great father he is
He probably has so much on his mind he doesn't realize that he puts off that vibe .I still would feel blessed to have him as a friend.
Love your cards.
I keep mine every year and hang them up each yr. I have cards from my high school graduation and collage .wedding birthdays Anniversery. I keep them in a box. I love getting cards.
My family was from North Carolina and my Dad would make oyster stew the way you do. š
I am really enjoying this channel. They are such hard workers, I'm learning a lot about cooking, and canning.
My Christmas morning tradition is: rum and eggnog, deviled eggs and mini pork sausage rolls, passed down from my Scottish grandma. She also made mince meat tarts, light and dark shortbread, dark fruitcake, and cherry almond fruitcake. We went out for Christmas dinner at the top of the Sheraton in Waikiki always had turkey.
Cooking and recipes and family are a huge part of your lives and they all weave together.
That was so smooth the way you brought up the missing ice-cream issue.
i see matt works at cherokee county maintenance i dont think ive ever met matt may have saw him and didnt no it but he seems like a good ol country boy still enjoying the videos
Recently stumbled across the channel. I'm from Northeast Texas but I've always found something deeply appealing about y'all's region. You have a lovely family! Merry Christmas!
Lots of lovely cards, what a blessing. Tell Matt not to worry about not smiling, lol! People used to say that to me too, 'smile it's not so bad', lol. My mam used to use the word surly often also. Y'all are very blessed to be able to celebrate w so many family.š Have a happy New Year, Ms Tipper!š
Matt surly? My comic opinion Matt sleepy! Sitting at ease for 20 minutes may be a respite from ongoing activity.
Tipper cheers him on!
Love seeing all the cards hanging up. We did the same thing this year. Mattās personality reminds me so much of my father in laws. Heās also from Appalachia. He even sounds like Matt when he laughs.
My mama always made Irish stew for Christmas Eveā¦ And itās basically potatoes stew meat and canned tomatoes but it was so deliciousā¦ It was literally this year when I realized itās called Irish Stew because itās mostly Irish potatoes! š I made it this year and I do every year in memory of herā¦ Thank you for sharing your family with us ā¤
I sent you a Christmas card from Arkansas. Me and my husband Love your videos
I am warning everyone, if you want warm weather do not come to North Florida. Nights it gets down to the 20s or teens one night. That storm is hitting here.
We ābinge-watched ā you guys yesterday as it was so cold here in Northeast Alabama that we stayed in a big portion of the day. It was a sweet day and weāll remember that for a long time. We laughed so much. You and Matt sound just like us. Itās so heartwarming. ā¤ yāall
My Wife, Son and his Fiance and I will be in your neck of the woods 27 Jan thru 1 Feb. Staying in a cabin in Maggie Valley.
Thank you for sharing your family traditions leading up to Christmas, Tipper! They are full of joy, generosity & good will. (I am touched & tickled to see my holiday card amongst the host sent by fellow well wishers.)
! LORD HELp send them some Oysters!
I'm in NH! We have no snow but nasty dry temps in the teens. YUCK!
Lovely!! Christ is born! Merry Christmas to you too. May you and your family also be well, happy and healthy. this season.
That's the fastest I ever seen anyone eat supper! When people eat that fast you know the cooking is GOOD! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Mat is just like my husband. People are like smile itās not that bad!
We didn't have a fireplace when I was growing up, so my parents would tape cChristmas cards on the inside of the front door. Dad's mother and sister would affix theirs to the wood paneling archway between their living room and dining room. Hope you're having a joyous holiday celebration today!
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
I was skeptical of the weather coming in too. Yesterday I spent the day trying to thaw the stock tank out.
Merry Christmas from the chilly tri cities area in northeast Tennessee the past two days on Friday and Saturday as we had 18 to 19 mph gusty winds and -7 to -14 temperatures! Burr it has my late 50's joint pain feeling horrible. I am not use to this 1,400 feet above sea level cold weather as my blood must have thinned out having lived the past 34 years on richmond, va at 150 feet above sea level.
I love Oyster stew. My Dad always made it. He made it the same way you said Matt makes it. That's how he taught me to make it. It's so good on a cold day with saltiness crackers crumbled in your bowl and pour the Oyster stew over. But your right cans of Oysters have been hard to find lately. I found some at Krogers a few weeks ago.
